As a Registered Psychotherapist, I am committed to partnering with you, listening to your concerns and working with you to develop your life to your greatest potential.

The therapeutic relationship is focused on nurturing, hope, inspiration and healing; all necessary for you to grow and thrive.

My work is guided by professional standards and guidelines, as outlined by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I engage in ongoing education and regular psychotherapy supervision to ensure the highest standards in my work.

 

My highest priority is assisting you in your recovery and I am committed to maintaining a safe and healthy relationship in which to do this important and life changing work.

I offer therapy to address the after-effects of trauma including, short-term stabilization work to aid with depression, anxiety, self-injury, grief, and emotional distress and longer-term therapy to work on attachment and trauma related relational wounds. I draw from a wide range of training and best practices to help you move forward in your life.

Office Appointments:  

Due to Covid-19, counselling sessions are being held using Zoom or by Phone. This allows the important work of recovery, including EMDR, to continue unhindered. 

iHOPE Counselling Cancellation Policy: 

48 hrs notice is required when cancelling counselling appointments. If less than 48 hrs Notice of Cancellation is given, the session fee will be charged. A message left on Voice Mail is acceptable (705-499-6258).. 

Payment for Services

Insurance:

Depending on your current Health Insurance Provider or Employee Benefit Plan, it is possible for psychotherapy services to be covered in full or in part. Many health insurance plans and employee assistance plans provide coverage for psychotherapy services. Since private coverage varies among insurers, contact your insurance company to find out how much coverage you have on a yearly basis for therapy with a Registered Psychotherapist.

For First Nations and Inuit Clients:

I am an approved Mental Health Counsellor with the Ontario Region Non-Insured Health Benefits Program and the Indian Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program. 

More Information:

If you were injured in an accident your workplace, the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board or you your Automobile Insurance Company may pay for your counselling sessions. You can contact them to inquire.

 

If you pay for counselling out of your own pocket you may save the receipts and declare them on your income taxes as a medical expense. Payment is due at each session by Cash, Cheque or Interac E-transfer.
