Karen works as a psychotherapist in private
practice in Bonfield, ON, and is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Karen's Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Nursing were earned at Western University,
London, Ontario.
She is now retired from her
career as a nurse.
Past employment: includes working as a Registered Nurse in Mental Health Counselling at the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Hamilton Family Health Team, London Health Sciences Centre, and My Sisters' Place (London).

Hello! I am Karen Haines. I work as a Registered Psychotherapist licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
My psychotherapy work has a Trauma Therapy focus.
I often employ Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy in work with clients and I engage in regular professional consultation to ensure that my clients benefit from the highest standard of safe and effective care.
My passion is to provide psychotherapy to individuals; assisting you to build a more fulfilling life in today’s challenging world.
I offer therapy to address the after-effects of trauma including, short-term stabilization work to aid with depression, anxiety, self-injury, grief, and emotional distress and longer-term therapy to work on attachment and trauma related relational wounds. I draw from a wide range of training and best practices to help you move forward in your life.
At Western University, in London Ontario, I earned a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Nursing. I am now retired from my nursing career.
My ongoing study in mental health and trauma therapy has focused on: Developmental, Attachment and Trauma Theory, Stabilization and Trauma Treatment, Imaginal Nurturing, Developing A Secure Self, Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
I have worked in mental health care in Southern Ontario at the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Hamilton Family Health Team, London Health Sciences Centre, and My Sisters’ Place, London.
